The Girls on the Run 5k Celebration is the “WOO HOO!!!” moment and the culmination of 10 weeks of teamwork and training for all Girls on the Run participants. The girls celebrate all of their hard work by running, walking, skipping, and jumping 3.1 miles with their parents, teachers, friends and the greater community. Can you say FUN?? And it's not just for the girls - everyone is welcome to participate in this unique, untimed, and uplifting event.

Race Registration
Girls currently participating in the program are already registered for the 5K and do NOT need to register online.
Children ages 5 and under: free
Children 6 through 12: $10 per person
Early Bird (thru March 31): $15 per person
Pre-registration (April 1 – May 16): $20 per person
Race Day registration will be available for $25 per person

Activities
This family-friendly, one-of-a-kind event features not just a 5k, but DJ music, face painting, Happy Hair, Fun Photo Station, lots of Energy Awards, girl-friendly door prizes, and a fabulous silent auction.

Running Buddies:
Every Girls on the Run program participant chooses or is paired with a volunteer Running Buddy to support her in her goal of completing the season-culminating 5k run! Together on race day, the pair will run, encourage one another and celebrate the huge accomplishment of setting a goal, achieving it and crossing the finish line! Volunteer running buddies are needed to support and encourage each girl through the course and to the finish line! Running buddies are background checked and must be able to complete a 5K in about 30-45 minutes with a mix of running and walking. Contact Michelle for info on becoming a Running Buddy!
Spirit Stations:
Don't want to run? You can still take part in the fun! Groups of all sizes are invited to staff Spirit Stations along the course! Bring your club, group, business, or band to cheer on the girls with posters, bubbles, kazoos, song, costumes, or just good old-fashioned clapping.

Girls on the Run Michiana is working closely with law enforcement and local governmental agencies to review security protocol for our upcoming 5k event.
